SAASS Music Lab

Today the St. Andrew’s Anglican Secondary School (SAASS) Music Lab was launched.  This is a project of the Ministry of Sports, Culture & the Arts, Fisheries and Cooperatives in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Human Resource Development, Information and Religious Affairs

This initiative was finally realized after a wonderful period of partnership between SAASS and the Division of Culture. It will be used by students of SAASS and neighbouring schools SJC Grenville and GSS

This project which was explained by Senior Cultural Officer Adrian Mark will entail a music production/recording studio and a classroom where theory, instrument and live sounds will be taught. Principal of the School, Mrs. Dianne Abel-Jeffrey welcomed the project, highlighted the benefits of music and how such an initiative will complement the school’s curriculum.  Past students of the school, Kelson “Electrify” Ogiste and Brandon “Bramma” Durham shared on their musical development and life accomplishments, and encouraged the students to make the best of the opportunity that they now have.
